The next confirmed step for the AgentSoul iPhone app is Deep Forge, arriving in version 1.1. It brings the 49-question Enneagram questionnaire — today available only on the web — into the app, alongside Flash Forge and Gao Dao. Beyond that, we would rather tell you honestly what is still an idea than promise features we have not built.
Where the app stands today
Version 1.0 was approved by Apple in October 2026. It offers two ways to forge a soul: Flash Forge 闪电熔铸, which reads 3–10 of your chat screenshots in a few minutes, and Gao Dao 高导, a Chinese-speaking mentor that asks up to twelve questions about real moments in your life. Both produce a named soul and the four agent files: soul.md, identity.md, user.md and agents.md. Gao Dao also gives your Enneagram type and wing, while Flash Forge describes your voice, pushback and priorities instead of a type number.
Coming in version 1.1: Deep Forge
Deep Forge is the third forge, and the most structured. Instead of reading how you write or listening to your stories, it asks you 49 questions designed around the nine Enneagram types and scores your answers. Some people trust a questionnaire more than an AI reading; others like to use one to check the other. Version 1.1 gives iPhone users that choice without leaving the app.
- 49 questions, answered in English.
- Scored on AgentSoul’s own servers — your answers are not sent to an AI service.
- Produces the same four agent files as Flash Forge and Gao Dao.
- Available today on the web at agentsoul.market, for anyone who does not want to wait.
Why Deep Forge comes next
With Deep Forge in the app, each forge draws on a different kind of evidence. Flash Forge looks at how you actually write to people. Gao Dao listens to the stories you choose to tell. Deep Forge asks you to describe yourself directly, question by question. None of these is the whole truth on its own, and each has blind spots: we write differently at work than with family, we tell stories selectively, and we answer questionnaires as the person we would like to be.
Having all three on one phone makes it easy to cross-check. If Gao Dao and Deep Forge land on the same type, and your Flash Forge traits tell the same story, that is a stronger signal. If they disagree, the difference itself is worth reading — and worth reflecting in the rules you write into soul.md.
Ideas we’re exploring
Past Deep Forge, nothing is announced. We keep a running list of ideas — mostly about making the existing forges smoother and the files more useful once they reach your computer — but an idea is not a commitment, and we will not describe features here until they are real. When something is confirmed, this page will say so.
What will not change is the shape of the app: free, no account, one main button per screen, nothing sent to the AI without your consent, and your data deletable from Settings at any time.
How to shape what comes next
The most useful thing you can do is tell us how you actually use your soul. Which agent did you configure? What did you change in soul.md or agents.md, and why? What did you wish the app had done? Write to hello@agentsoul.market, or use Contact us in the app’s Settings. Real stories from real use shape priorities far more than guesses do.

Getting the update
Version 1.1 will arrive as a normal App Store update. If automatic updates are on, your iPhone will install it for you; otherwise, open the App Store and check your updates. Your My souls library stays on your device through updates, so the souls you have already forged will still be there.
