What your result shows depends on the forge you used. Every result gives your soul a name, shows the Enneagram figure and sums up your agent in three traits, Voice, Pushback and Priority, before handing you the four files. A Flash Forge result stops there: it is a reading of your style, labelled “Flash Forge”, with no type number. A Gao Dao result adds an Enneagram type from 1 to 9, usually a wing, and a deep report.
Whichever you have, treat it as a starting point. As the result screen itself says, this is a hypothesis, not a diagnosis.
What every result shows
- A name: a short, archetype-style title for your soul’s working style. Think of it as the title your agent carries.
- The Enneagram figure: the nine-point diagram that serves as the app’s sigil. On a Gao Dao result your type’s point and its wing are marked on it.
- Three soul traits: Voice, Pushback and Priority, explained below.
- A reminder that the reading is a hypothesis, not a diagnosis, and a button to get the four files.
Flash Forge: a style reading, not a type
Flash Forge reads your screenshots for signals in four areas: tone, clarity, pacing and conflict. From those it infers what you seem to protect and pursue, writes a short synthesis, and gives your soul a name. Where a type line would sit, the reveal simply says “Flash Forge · 闪电熔铸”. That is by design: a handful of chats can say a lot about how you sound, but not enough to place you confidently among nine types.
On a Flash result, Voice usually comes from your tone signal, Pushback from how you handle conflict, and Priority from what the reading says matters most when you work. If you also want an Enneagram type, a Gao Dao conversation gives you one, and the two readings complement each other.
Gao Dao: your Enneagram type
A Gao Dao result names one of the nine Enneagram types, which describe patterns of attention and motivation. Each type is defined less by what people do than by why they do it:
- Type 1, the Reformer: wants to be good and right; notices what could be improved.
- Type 2, the Helper: wants to be needed and loved; notices what others need.
- Type 3, the Achiever: wants to be valuable and successful; notices what works.
- Type 4, the Individualist: wants to be authentic and understood; notices what is missing or meaningful.
- Type 5, the Investigator: wants to be capable and informed; notices how things work.
- Type 6, the Loyalist: wants security and support; notices risks and who can be trusted.
- Type 7, the Enthusiast: wants freedom and satisfaction; notices possibilities.
- Type 8, the Challenger: wants to be strong and in control of their path; notices power and injustice.
- Type 9, the Peacemaker: wants harmony and inner calm; notices every side of a situation.
For an agent, the type matters because it shapes defaults: what the agent checks first, what it flags, and how it behaves under pressure. On a Gao Dao result the three traits are drawn from your type.
The wing: the second colour
Each type sits between two neighbours on the Enneagram circle, and most people lean towards one of them. That lean is the wing. A 5w4 tends to be introspective and aesthetic; a 5w6 tends to be sceptical and security-minded. Wings explain why two people of the same type can feel quite different to work with. On the reveal the wing follows the type, as in TYPE 5 · 5w4; if Gao Dao does not settle on one, you see the type alone.
Voice, Pushback and Priority
- Voice: how the agent should sound, for instance concise and dry, or warm and encouraging.
- Pushback: how and when it should disagree with you, and how firmly.
- Priority: what it puts first when trade-offs appear, such as accuracy, speed, harmony or momentum.
These are the most practical part of any result, and the easiest to adjust by hand once the files are on your computer.
Going deeper, and staying sceptical
The Gao Dao deep report lists the patterns Gao Dao noticed, your core fear and desire, your subtype, and other possible types it considered. That last part is worth reading, because the Enneagram is easiest to misread at the edges. However you forged, it is an AI reading of a slice of your words, not a clinical assessment. Use what rings true, edit what does not, and let the agent earn its personality through use.
Questions
Why does my Flash Forge result have no type number?
Flash Forge is designed as a fast reading of how you write: tone, clarity, pacing and how you handle conflict. It turns those into a soul name and three traits. For an Enneagram type and wing, use Gao Dao, or Deep Forge on the web.
What if my Gao Dao type feels wrong?
Treat it as a hypothesis worth testing. Read the other possible types in the deep report, compare them with your Flash Forge traits if you have them, and edit the files to match the agent you actually want.
Is a higher type number better?
No. The numbers are labels, not a ranking. Every type has characteristic strengths and characteristic blind spots.
