How to delete your AgentSoul data (and withdraw AI consent)

To delete your data, open Settings in the AgentSoul app and tap “Delete my data”. Confirm, and everything on AgentSoul’s servers linked to your phone is permanently erased. If you only want to stop the app sending content to Google Gemini, withdraw AI consent instead — that keeps your souls but stops any future sending.

These are two different controls for two different wishes. Here is how each works, and how to choose.

Before you delete: save what you want to keep

Deletion cannot be undone, and AgentSoul has no account or cloud backup to restore from. If you want to keep any of your souls, open each one in My souls and send its four files — soul.md, identity.md, user.md and agents.md — to yourself first. The share sheet lets you AirDrop them to a Mac, save them to Files, or email them to yourself. Once a file is on your computer, it is yours; deleting your AgentSoul data does not touch it.

How to delete your data, step by step

1. Open the app and go to My souls.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Under Data, tap “Delete my data”.
4. Read the list of what will be removed, then tick “I understand my data can’t be recovered”.
5. Tap “Delete permanently” and wait for it to finish. If you see “Deletion didn’t finish”, check your connection and try again later.

What is deleted — and what is not

“Delete my data” permanently removes everything on AgentSoul’s servers linked to this device:

• All your souls, with their four files and deep reports, including Gao Dao in-depth reports.
• Your Gao Dao conversation records — the summaries and observations kept from each session.
• Your notification settings and this device’s anonymous ID, which is also cleared from the app.

Not affected: files you already sent to your computer, and anything outside the app, such as an email you sent yourself. Flash Forge screenshots are not on the list because they were never stored in the first place.

After deletion, the app behaves as if it were freshly installed: My souls is empty, and a new anonymous ID is created when you use it again. Nothing connects that new ID to the old one, so there is no way for the old souls to reappear. If you turned on notifications for this app, you may also want to review them in iOS Settings.

Withdrawing AI consent instead

If what you want is for no more of your content to reach Google’s Gemini API, you do not need to delete anything. In Settings, find “AI processing by Google”, which shows “Allowed”, and tap “Withdraw”. From then on, the app sends nothing to Gemini. If you start a new Flash Forge or Gao Dao session later, the consent screen appears again and you decide afresh.

• Withdraw consent if you want to keep your souls but stop future AI processing.
• Delete my data if you want your souls and device records gone from AgentSoul’s servers.
• Do both if you want a clean slate and no further sending.

Results from the website, or deleting by email

Souls forged on the website at agentsoul.market are not tied to your phone, so the in-app button does not reach them. To remove them, email hello@agentsoul.market with the result links you want removed, or write from the email address on your web profile. If you published a soul to the public directory, you can unpublish it from your profile.

Deleting the app without using “Delete my data” first removes your anonymous ID from the phone, so you can no longer open those souls — but the records may remain on the server. Use the in-app button first if you want them erased.
