The AI consent screen is AgentSoul’s promise that nothing leaves your phone for an AI service without your say-so. It appears before your first Flash Forge or Gao Dao session, names the company that receives your content — Google LLC, through its Gemini API — and spells out exactly what is sent, why, and what is kept. You agree once, and you can take it back in Settings whenever you like.
What the screen tells you
The screen is headed “Your content will be sent to Google’s AI” and is organised around four questions, so you never have to read a policy to understand the basics:
- What is sent — this depends on which forge you chose (see below).
- Who receives it — Google LLC, through its Gemini API, processing the content on AgentSoul’s behalf under its Gemini API and data processing terms.
- What it is used for — only to analyse your content and produce your personality reading and your four agent files. Not for advertising.
- What we keep — for Flash Forge, the reading but not the screenshots; for Gao Dao, a summary of the conversation and your result, not your raw messages.
At the bottom are two buttons: “Agree and continue” and “No thanks, go back”. In keeping with the app’s design, only one of them is the main button.
What is sent, forge by forge
Flash Forge
The chat screenshots you choose on the next screen — or the sample chats, if you use “Try it with sample chats” — including any text and names visible in them. The images are resized on your phone first, processed in memory and not stored by AgentSoul.
Gao Dao 高导
The answers you type or dictate in the conversation, and the agent type you choose at the start (for example Personal assistant or Work & study). Before each message is sent, common identifiers such as phone numbers, email addresses, ID numbers and bank card numbers are masked. Voice is recognised on your device, so only text is sent — never audio.
Deep Forge (web)
The 49-question Deep Forge questionnaire, available on the web at agentsoul.market, does not send your answers to an AI service at all. Its scoring runs on AgentSoul’s own servers.
Just as important is what is never sent: the rest of your photo library (the picker only hands over the images you select), any voice audio, and any account profile — the app has no accounts, so there is no name, email address or password to share. The masking in Gao Dao is a safety net, not a licence; it still helps to leave out details you would not want an AI service to read.
Why ask at all?
Your chats and your stories are yours. Sending them to a third party is a real decision, and you deserve to make it knowingly, at the moment it matters — not buried in terms you accepted at install. That is why the screen appears right before the first send, in plain language, in English or Simplified Chinese depending on your app language.
It is also what Apple asks of apps that share personal data with third-party AI. If AgentSoul ever adds a new AI provider or starts sending a new kind of data, the consent wording is updated and you are asked again.
Withdrawing consent
Open Settings and find “AI processing by Google”. It shows “Allowed” or “Not allowed yet”. Tap “Withdraw” and the app stops sending content to Gemini; the next time you start a forge, the consent screen appears again.
Withdrawing consent stops future sending. It does not erase souls you have already forged. To remove those too, use “Delete my data” in the same Settings screen.

Questions
Why does AgentSoul need Google Gemini at all?
Reading personality from chat screenshots and holding a mentor conversation both need a large AI model. AgentSoul uses Google’s Gemini API for that, rather than building its own model.
What happens if I tap “No thanks, go back”?
Nothing is sent and you return to the previous screen. You can still browse the app; you just cannot run Flash Forge or Gao Dao until you agree.
Is my voice sent to Google when I use hold-to-talk?
No. Dictation in Gao Dao is recognised on your iPhone. Only the resulting text of your answer is sent, like a typed answer.
