The AgentSoul iPhone app (干将) is built to need as little of you as possible. There is no account, your Flash Forge screenshots are never stored, Gao Dao conversations are kept only as a summary, and nothing goes to the AI service until you say yes. If you change your mind, one button in Settings deletes everything linked to your phone.
This guide walks through each of those choices in plain language. The full legal detail lives in the privacy policy, which you can open from Settings or read at agentsoul.market.
No account, just an anonymous device ID
You can open the app, forge a soul and send yourself the files without ever typing a name, email address or password. Instead, the app creates a random identifier for your phone and stores it inside the app. AgentSoul’s servers never keep that identifier itself — only a salted hash of it, which is what links your souls to your device.
The trade-off is honest: because there is no account, there is no sync between devices and no cloud backup of your souls. Your “My souls” library belongs to this phone. If you delete the app, send your files to your computer first.
What happens to your screenshots and conversations
The two forges handle your content differently, because they collect different things.
- Flash Forge: the 3–10 screenshots you pick are resized on your iPhone, sent for analysis and processed in memory only. They are not written to a database, file storage or logs. What is kept is the reading — the written report, your soul’s name and traits, and your four agent files.
- Gao Dao: each answer you type or dictate is passed to the AI so the mentor can reply. Common identifiers such as phone numbers, email addresses, ID numbers and bank card numbers are masked first. AgentSoul does not store your messages word for word; it keeps a running summary, the mentor’s observations and, at the end, your result and in-depth report.
- Voice input: hold-to-talk dictation in Gao Dao is recognised on your device. No audio leaves your phone.
You agree before anything reaches the AI
AgentSoul uses Google’s Gemini API, a third-party AI service, to produce readings. The first time you start a forge, the app shows a consent screen that explains what is sent, who receives it, what it is used for and what is kept. Until you tap “Agree and continue”, nothing is sent. If you decline, you simply go back.
Google processes the content on AgentSoul’s behalf, only to analyse it and return your reading and files. It is not used for advertising. You can withdraw the permission at any time under Settings, in the “AI processing by Google” row.
Notifications and analytics, kept small
The app never asks for notification permission when it launches. While a Flash Forge reading is being prepared, you can tap to be told — once — when your soul is ready. That is the only notification it sends.
For product analytics the app records a small set of events, such as “forge started” or “files sent”, without cookies and keyed to the hashed device ID. Your screenshots, messages and files are not part of those events. There are no advertising identifiers and no cross-app tracking.
Deleting your data
Open Settings and choose “Delete my data”. After you confirm, AgentSoul permanently deletes every soul, four-file bundle, deep report, Gao Dao conversation record and device record linked to your phone, and clears the anonymous ID from the app. Files you already sent to your computer are not affected, because they are yours. The deletion cannot be undone.
“A smith keeps the blade, not the ore. AgentSoul keeps the reading, not the raw material you brought to the forge.”

Questions
Do I need an account to use the AgentSoul app?
No. The iPhone app has no sign-up or sign-in at all. Your souls are tied to an anonymous device ID instead of a name or email address.
Does AgentSoul sell my data or show ads?
No. The app has no ads, and AgentSoul does not sell personal data or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Who sees my content?
To produce your reading, your screenshots or conversation answers are sent to Google’s Gemini API, which processes them on AgentSoul’s behalf. This only happens after you agree on the consent screen.
