Send your four agent files from iPhone to Mac (AirDrop, Files, email)

On your soul’s result, tap “Get the four files”, then “Send to computer”. The iPhone share sheet opens with soul.md, identity.md, user.md and agents.md as four separate Markdown files: AirDrop them to a Mac, save them to Files, or email them to yourself for any computer.

Open your soul, tap “Get the four files”, then tap “Send to computer”. The iPhone share sheet appears with four separate Markdown files: soul.md, identity.md, user.md and agents.md. Choose AirDrop to send them to a nearby Mac, Save to Files to keep them in iCloud Drive or on the phone, or Mail to email them to yourself.

The app is designed around one idea: the iPhone is where you forge, and the computer is where your agent lives. This last step is what turns a reading into a working configuration.

Find the files

  1. Open My souls and tap the soul you want, or stay on the reveal screen right after forging.
  2. Tap “Get the four files”. The screen “Put it in your agent” lists all four, with a one-line description of each.
  3. Tap any file to preview it. In the preview, “Copy all” copies the full text.
  4. Tap “Send to computer” to open the share sheet with all four files at once.

Option 1: AirDrop to a Mac

AirDrop is the quickest route when your Mac is nearby. Make sure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are on for both devices and that the Mac is discoverable in Finder’s AirDrop window. In the share sheet, tap AirDrop and choose your Mac. On a Mac signed in to the same Apple Account, the files usually arrive without a prompt; otherwise accept them on the Mac. Received files normally appear in the Downloads folder.

From there, move them into the folder your agent reads from, such as a project directory for Claude Code or Cursor, or an OpenClaw workspace.

If your Mac does not appear in the AirDrop list, unlock it, open a Finder window and choose AirDrop in the sidebar, then set “Allow me to be discovered by” to Contacts Only or Everyone. Then try the share sheet again.

Option 2: Save to Files

Tap Save to Files and pick a location. If you choose a folder in iCloud Drive and iCloud Drive is enabled on your Mac, the files will appear in Finder under iCloud Drive a moment later. Choosing On My iPhone keeps the files local to the phone, which is useful as a backup copy even if you are not at a computer.

A tidy habit is to create a folder per soul, for example named after the soul, so you can keep several versions side by side as your agent evolves.

Option 3: email them to yourself

Tap Mail, or any other mail app in the share sheet, and send the message to your own address. This works for every kind of computer, including Windows and Linux machines, and leaves a dated copy in your inbox. On the computer, save the four attachments into your agent’s folder.

Keep a copy before you delete the app

AgentSoul has no account and no cloud sync. Your souls are tied to an anonymous ID on this iPhone, and the library says so plainly: souls are stored only on this device, and deleting the app deletes them too. If a soul matters to you, send its files to your computer first. Files you have already sent are not affected by “Delete my data” or by removing the app.

What to do with the files next

Place the four files in the project or workspace your agent reads, then point the agent at them. Claude Code reads a CLAUDE.md file and can import other files by path; Cursor supports project rules and reads AGENTS.md; OpenClaw workspaces boot from soul.md, identity.md, user.md and agents.md. The agent-files guides walk through each harness in detail, along with how to edit the files once they are in place.

Questions

Are the files sent as a zip?

No. They arrive as four separate Markdown files named soul.md, identity.md, user.md and agents.md, ready to drop into a project folder.

Can I copy one file instead of sending all four?

Yes. Tap a file in the list to preview it, then tap “Copy all” to copy its full text, which you can paste into a note, a message or an editor.

I use Windows. How do I get the files?

Choose Mail in the share sheet and email them to yourself, then save the attachments into your agent’s project folder on the PC.
